
Asjha Jones Reports To Camp, Sun Cut Cori Chambers

UNCASVILLE, CT. (May 15 2008) - Asjha Jones arrived at training camp Thursday, and the Connecticut Sun made another cut, waiving second-year guard Cori Chambers.
The Sun currently have 12 players on the roster.
Jones recently returned from Russia, where she played for UMMC Ekaterinburg. She practiced Thursday, and is expected to start when the Sun open their season against Atlanta Saturday at 4 p.m. Chambers was selected in the second round of the 2007 WNBA Draft out of Georgia. She finished with 15 points in three preseason games.
The Connecticut Sun will open its sixth season of play on May 17th by hosting the Atlanta Dream in Mohegan Sun Arena. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Representative at 1.877.SUN.TIXX (786-8499).
