
Connecticut Sun Looking For Community MVP's

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 15, 2008) - The Connecticut Sun announced today that nominations are now being accepted for the 2008 Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP Program.
Community MVPs are those individuals who have made an overwhelming impact on the lives of others in the local area. Recipients who are making exceptional and lasting contributions to the community through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit will be selected for throughout the 2008 season.
Those individuals chosen to receive the Community MVP Award will receive four tickets to the Sun home game at which they will be honored, a commemorative plaque, presented at center court, and a photo opportunity with a Sun player. Following the game, the individuals' photo and story about why they are a Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP will be available on the Sun website.
Anyone wishing to nominate such an individual can submit, in 150 words or less, why the nominee is deserving of the Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP Award. Examples of the nominee's level of commitment and contributions to the community must be included. Nominations can be submitted online at www.connecticutsun.com, faxed to (860) 862-4010 or mailed to: Connecticut Sun, Attn: Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP Award, 1 Mohegan Sun Blvd., Uncasville, CT 06382.
The Connecticut Sun will open its sixth season of play on May 17th by hosting the Atlanta Dream in Mohegan Sun Arena. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Representative at 1.877.SUN.TIXX (786-8499) or by visiting www.connecticutsun.com.
