LOUISVILLE, KY - Rey Navarro brought in the winning run the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Bats a 5-4 victory against their division rival Indians for a season-high six-straight wins at Louisville Slugger Field.

Navarro came to the plate in the bottom of the eighth after the Indians tied the game earlier in the inning and hit a single to shallow centerfield to bring Bryan Anderson home and give the Bats the final lead of the game. Navarro recorded a single in the bottom of the fifth inning and would score on Kristopher Negron's RBI-double. The single continued Navarro's hitting-streak to 10 games, meaning he has hit safely in every game he has played in for the Bats. He went 3-for-4 in the game and is batting .359 with Louisville.

The Bats were on the board first when Donald Lutz drove Jason Bourgeois in, in the bottom of the first inning. Louisville would hold the lead through seven innings until the Indians tied it at 4-4 in the top of the eighth inning after Mel Rojas hit a single line-drive to left field scoring two runners with two outs.

Louisville led the game 4-0 through six innings until the Bats shutout was broken up in the top of the seventh inning when former-Bat Chris Dickerson hit a two-run homerun to thin the Louisville lead to 4-2. The homerun brought Michael Martinez across the plate. It was Dickerson's seventh homerun in 2014.

Lefty Ryan Dennick (4-0, 2.45) won his fourth game of the season in relief. He pitched one inning, gave up a hit and a walk after right-hander Curtis Partch gave up the tying run in the top of the eighth inning. Righty Justin Freeman was credited with the save, his fourth of the season.

Louisville received some solid innings from starting right-handed pitcher Chien-Ming Wang. He got off to a shaky start, walking the first two batters he faced but managed to force the Indians to leave runners on the bases. Wang (8-5, 3.43) secured his ninth win of the season after pitching 6.2 innings, giving up four hits, two earned runs, six walks and one strikeout. He gave up a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning.

Right-handed starting pitcher Casey Sadler (8-1, 2.43) received a no-decision after the game. He pitched 5.1 innings, gave up nine hits, four earned runs but managed to strikeout four batters. Right-hander Vin Mazzaro (2-2, 0.83) would receive his second loss of the season after he pitched an inning and gave up the winning run.

The Indians have lost eight of their last 10 games moving them to 47-39, and their division lead is beginning to thin. As the Bats have closed within three games of the International League Western division lead. They trail the Columbus Clippers by two games for second-place within the division. Indianapolis is 6-11 since 2013 when they play at LSF.

The Bats will wrap-up their half of the four-game split series against Indianapolis tomorrow night at 6:45. Righty Jair Jurrjens (2-3, 4.46) will take the mound for the Bats, and faceoff against right-hander Jay Jackson (4-2, 3.86).
