Tonight's Game
Tonight, the Bisons face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in a doubleheader at Coca-Cola Field (Game 1: 5:35 p.m.). Buffalo won last night's game in extra innings to earn their 11th win in 15 games. Tonight begins a two-day, three-game series in Buffalo before the teams travel to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a short two-game set.
P.J. Walters
RHP P.J. WALTERS will make his third start of the season for the Herd tonight in game one. The righty picked up the win in his last outing, June 27 against Columbus, with seven innings of one-run baseball. Walters has allowed just one earned run in each outing with the Bisons this season after being promoted to the club on June 21.
Raul Valdes
LHP RAUL VALDES makes his second start of the season for the Bisons tonight in game two. Valdes picked up the win in a spot start on June 21 against Rochester (5.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, BB, 3 SO). In his last outing, the southpaw pitched three innings in relief, struck out three and walked none in a 7-6 Bisons extra innings win.

INF DAN JOHNSON has been elected to the 2014 IL All-Star team. Johnson has played in all 83 of the Bisons game this season and leads the league in both home runs (16) and walks (69). Johnson's 50 RBI and 35 extra base hits rank second in the league and he is 4th with a .401 on base percentage. Johnson also leads the Herd this season with his 50 runs scored and is second on the team with 19 doubles.
Australian All-Star
RHP LIAM HENDRIKS will join the IL All-Stars in Durham. The righty is 6-1 with a 2.13 ERA in 14 games and 12 starts this season. He leads all IL pitchers with a 0.80 WHIP and has the fewest walks (0.59 and baserunners (8.61) per nine innings of work. Hendriks has walked just five batters while striking out 62 in 80.1 innings of work.
Bobby K
RHP BOBBY KORECKY was elected to the IL All-Star game. Korecky is 4-1 with a 0.60 ERA in 33 relief appearances this season. The righty has allowed just 26 hits while striking out 42 in 44.2 innings pitched, earning 10 saves for the Herd this season. Korecky ranks 3rd in the IL in games (33) and games finished (33) and is 4th among relievers in batting average against (.166).
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (46-39) won their Canada Day matchup with the Brewers, 4-1. Former Bison Drew Hutchison got the win allowing one run in seven innings while striking out ten. The Jays finish their two-game series with Milwaukee this afternoon (12:37 p.m.) before heading to Oakland tomorrow.
