May 29, 2021 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Nashville SC News Release
ATLANTA - Nashville Soccer Club extended its unbeaten streak to seven with a 2-2 draw in a thrilling ending at Atlanta United FC on Saturday afternoon.
Another One Bites the Dust: With Saturday's draw at Atlanta United and Orlando SC's defeat against New York Red Bulls Nashville SC is the only Eastern Conference team to remain undefeated through the 2021 Major League Soccer season. Western Conference leader, Seattle Sounders FC, is the only other team currently unbeaten this season. They host Austin FC tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. CT on FS1.
Down but Not Out: The Boys in Gold clawed their way back from a two-nil deficit to equalize the match for the third time this season, the first two being against FC Cincinnati and CF Montréal. Hany Mukhtar scored a brace in three minutes to secure Nashville SC's draw.
Magical Mukhtar: Hany Mukhtar found himself in the starting lineup for the first time since Nashville SC's matchup against Inter Miami FC on May 2. With today's performance, Mukhtar leads Nashville SC with three goals this season.
Following a two-week international break, Nashville SC will return to action at New York Red Bulls on Friday, June 18 at 7 p.m. CT. Fans can tune in to the action on MyTV30 or live stream the game on www.NashvilleSC.com at 6:30 p.m. CT to watch the pregame show.
