
James Pantemis and Samuel Piette Selected by Canada

MONTREAL - Goalkeeper James Pantemis and midfielder Samuel Piette were called up by Canada for its next FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers.
Canada, in first place in Group B, will face Aruba on Saturday, June 5, at 8pm and Suriname on Tuesday, June 8, at 9pm. John Herdman's team has to finish first of the group to qualify to the next round.
Midfileder Samuel Piette reached the 50 games mark with the national team against Bermuda on March 26 and has now played a total of 51 games with Canada. Goalkeeper James Pantemis is still looking for his first cap with the senior team but was the starting goalkeeper in the Concacaf Olympic qualifiers in March 2021, playing four games.
Defender Kamal Miller was also selected but won't be joining the national team due to his hip injury.
