WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers, ‘AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, will take part in two community events tomorrow to raise money for charitable causes.

Nine Nailers players will take part in bowling at local alleys in Elm Grove, St. Clairsville and Steubenville Ohio to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown, W.Va., which provides families whose children are seeking medical treatment for serious illnesses and injuries with a place to stay near their care facilities. The public is welcome to come out to Elm Grove, St. Clair or All American Lanes to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House while getting their favorite players photos and autographs. These events take place between 2-5p.m.

Later that night Nailers players will also serve as waiters at Generations Restaurant and Pub from 6-8 p.m. All tips left for Nailers players will be donated to the Golden Spike Association Ticket for Kids program, which has aided area schools and other non-profit organizations in providing youths with free tickets to Nailers games. The community is invited to attend the event at Generations tomorrow from 6-8 p.m. and help in supporting a worthy cause.

The Nailers return to WesBanco Arena on Wednesday April 1st when they host the Trenton Devils. The first 1,000 kids 14 and under will have their choice of one of several promotional items including the Sidney Crosby mini stick and ball provided by Tim Horton's of Steubenville and Wheeling, Moon Dog Bobbleheads, or BB&T Nailers Back Packs.
