Nailers Add Backup Goalie Jarosz

Wheeling Nailers News Release

Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the proud AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced they have added Michigan State University product Bobby Jarosz as an emergency backup goalie for this weekend.

Jarosz will replace team equipment manager Billy Higgins in the EBG role and will be backing Berkhoel beginning with tonight's game.

Bobby Jarosz just completed his four year career with the Michigan State Spartans and is driving down from East Lansing, Michigan to meet the Nailers team in Kalamazoo.

The Crystal Lake, Illinois native appeared in 12 games for the Spartans this season going 4-3-0 with a goals against average of 2.34 and a saves percentage of.919.

Michael-Lee Teslak was recalled by Adirondack earlier this week and with the injury to Michael Leighton to Adirondack's parent club in Philadelphia it appears likely Teslak's stay in the AHL could be longer than originally expected.

The Nailers and Wings continue their series Friday night with a game at 7:30 in Kalamazoo.

Wheeling returns home Saturday night and Sunday afternoon entertaining Kalamazoo and Toledo back to back. The Nailers will wear their Baby Blue jerseys in Saturday night's game. Sunday at 3:05 is Pups and Pucks Day in which Nailers fans can bring their dog to the game. Every Sunday also features an open-skate with the Nailers players after the game.

Call the Nailers at 304-234-GOAL or toll-free at 1-877-NAIL-TIX. Get your tickets online at the team's website at wheelingnailers.com.
