Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce the signing of forward Kyle Kraemer and Brian McMillin. Per club policy, the terms of the contacts will be undisclosed.
Kraemer joins the K-Wings after spending past four seasons at Northeastern University. The native of St. Louis, Missouri finished his senior year tied for second on the Huskies in scoring with 28 points and led Northeastern in goals with 17.
In four seasons with the Huskies, Kraemer racked up 65 points (29 goals, 36 assists) in 119 games. Before heading to Northeastern, Kramer played three seasons of junior hockey in the North American Hockey League, including two seasons with the Wichita Falls Wildcats, where he led the Wildcats in scoring during the 2005-06 season with 68 points (27 goals, 41 assists).
By signing with Kalamazoo, Kraemer is reunited with Louis Liotti, who was a college teammate at Northeastern from 2006-09.
McMillin comes to Kalamazoo after completing his collegiate career with Colorado College, where he was one of the Tigers most reliable penalty killers and defensive forwards.
The native of Roseau, Minnesota finished is tenure with the Tigers earning 28 points (15 goals. 13 assists) in 135 games.
The K-Wings will remain home at Wings Stadium tonight, Friday March 19th with a 7:30 p.m. encounter versus the Wheeling Nailers during PNC Bank Night. This evening will also be a Frugal Fan Friday, featuring $1 beer and $1 hotdogs and a Win-Win Night, presented by WNWN. If the K-Wings win, all fans in attendances will receive a FREE ticket to Kalamazoo's contest versus the Elmira Jackals on March 24th.
Single-game tickets for any regular season home game are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
