NEWS & NOTES: - Errors, Late Rally Doom Mudcats - Winston-Salem took advantage of some early miscues to jump out 3-0 early on Carolina. The Mudcats battled back, however, thanks to two home runs. Jeremie Tice launched a solo shot over the CF wall in the second inning. Ronny Rodriguez blasted a three-run shot tie the game 4-4. Trailing 5-4 in the seventh, the Dash plated two on four hits to escape with the 6-5 win.

- Streaking - Catcher Jake Lowery enters today with a seven game hitting streak. During this stretch, he is batting .444 (12x27) with 5 RBI. The first-year Mudcat belted his first home run on April 8.

- Full Power - The Mudcats have cranked 31 extra base hits on the year. Carolina has mashed six home runs, belted four triples, and doubled 21 times. The team is second only to Lynchburg for leading the league. The Hillcats have 49 extra base knocks.

- Snapped - The Mudcats bullpen allowed two runs on Sunday, snapping their scoreless innings streak at 15.2. The group suffered their first loss and second blown save. The bullpen still boasts an ERA of 1.80.

- Steeeee-rike! - Lefty starter T.J. House has fanned 17 hitters through two starts. The 17 K's rank first in the Carolina League. In 13 innings pitched, he has yet to allow an earned run.
