WINSTON-SALEM, NC (APRIL 16, 2012) - The opening weekend festivities continued at BB&T Ballpark Saturday afternoon with the Winston-Salem Dash's 2012 Open House sponsored by Prudential Carolinas Realty.
Fans toured the stadium, sampled ballpark food, and practiced their broadcasting skills. Kids ran the bases and got autographs from Dash players. Bolt and the Dash Pack were also on hand.
"Prudential Carolinas and our sales associates were delighted to be a part of the Dash's spring Open House," Prudential Carolinas CEO Tommy Camp said. "The Winston-Salem Dash and BB&T Ballpark are a tremendous asset to our community and we consider it a privilege to be a part of the Dash team of supporters. Once again, the Dash have proven their commitment to our community through their support of this great event and its contributions to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina."
Nearly 900 people came through the BB&T Ballpark gates. Hundreds of pounds of canned food items were donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. In addition, Prudential Carolinas Realty sold raffle tickets for a chance to win tickets to the 2012 California- Carolina League All-Star Game. The raffle raised $164, enough money to provide 1,148 meals for people in the community.
