Mudbugs In the Movies

In addition to the tonight's military appreciation night events for the Mudbugs game versus the Austin Ice Bats, there will be another very special event at tonight's game.

Actor Matthew Broderick will be on hand as scenes from the upcoming movie "Wonderful World" will be filmed at tonight's Mudbugs game. The film stars Broderick, Sanaa Lathan and Jodelle Ferdland and is being written and directed by Josh Goldin. The picture is being filmed entirely in Shreveport .

Broderick will join war veteran Mike McCrary in dropping the ceremonial first puck at tonight's contest. His acting career includes a long list of films, including Glory, The Cable Guy, Godzilla, Inspector Gadget, The Stepford Wives, The Producers, and of course, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Don't forget also about the other events going on for tonight's game on military appreciation night: the specialty camouflage jersey auction, the food drive with P.O.D.S. and the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank, post-game public skate, and post-game party at Buffalo Wild Wings.
