TULSA, OK -- Chris Abbott and Joe Ori both scored twice as the Mudbugs finished off Tulsa 5-2, winning their 8th straight game.

Quick tempo hockey ensued with the drop of the puck. The Mudbugs scored first on a bad angle shot by Karlis Zirnis to make it a 1-0 game. The Mudbugs made the most of their first power play opportunity as Chris Brassard's shot rebounded to Joe Ori for a wide open net and two goal lead for the Bugs. Tulsa would answer at 12:40 when Bryan LaChappelle corralled a rebound off a shot from the point to bring the Oilers back within one.

Chris Abbott added the only goal of the second period as Bossier-Shreveport took advantage of a five-on-three. Ryan Fairbarn's shot from the high slot rebounded to Abbott's stick for the power play goal.

Joe Ori and Chris Abbott added two more goals in the second period as the Mudbugs scored four times on the power play. Ken Carroll stopped 31 of 33 shots on goal for his 13th win.
