The Manitoba Moose (33-14-4-3) and Milwaukee Admirals (26-22-4-1) clashed for the second time this week on Wednesday night. Milwaukee came out of the gate quickly, putting the first four shots on net, but Jamie Phillips helped the Moose weather the early attack. The hosts took over from there and nearly opened the scoring when Mason Appleton rang a shot off the post. Manitoba would eventually tally the first of the night with a power play marker at 15:34. Buddy Robinson booted the puck on net, collected his rebound and lifted the puck up under the bar for the only marker of the period.
Milwaukee tied things up just two minutes into the period on a power play goal from a wide open Mark McNeill. Manitoba grabbed the lead back at 6:17 when Brendan Lemieux raced down the wing and found an opening on the short side for his 14th goal of the season. The Moose made it a two-goal game with 7:07 to go in the frame. Jansen Harkins found Mason Appleton in the slot and Manitoba's leading scorer out-waited Anders Lindback before rifling home his 17th of the campaign. At the other end of the ice, Jamie Phillips made 11 saves in the period to get the Moose into the third with a 3-1 lead.
Manitoba stretched the lead to three goals two minutes into the third as Lemieux tipped a Charles-Beaudoin point shot to the back of the net for his second of the night. Just over three minutes later, Frederick Gaudreau got Milwaukee back within two goals on a blistering shot to the top shelf. It only took the Moose 1:34 to respond as Appleton centered to Chase De Leo who was able to put the chance away for his 10th of the season. The scoring continued at the 8:03 mark when Frederic Allard's shot found its way over the goal line, despite a valiant effort from Cameron Schilling attempting to dig the puck away from the net. Mason Appleton iced the game into an empty net for his second goal and third point of the night. An altercation after the final horn resulted in the teams combining for 76 minutes in penalties. Once the dust settled, the Moose celebrated a 6-3 win.

Brendan Lemieux played his 100th AHL game, scoring two goals.
Mason Appleton reached the 50-point mark (18G, 32A), tying Sean Tallaire's single-season franchise record set in 1996-97.
JC Lipon recorded his 100th AHL assist as part of a three-assist night.

Head Coach Pascal Vincent - "The effort was there. The message before the game, not necessarily just coming only from the coaches, I think the players knew we needed to play with intensity. It's not perfect, there's still some mistakes that were made, but the effort was there and that's what we need to see."
Goaltender Jamie Phillips - "We came out right from the start. We played a full sixty minutes, and that's why we were rewarded with the win. We were able to put a stop to the losing skid and it's nice to do that at home. Overall it was probably one of the better games we played all year."
