Monday's Smokies-Barons Contest Postponed

KODAK - The Tennessee Smokies' scheduled game Monday evening against the Birmingham Barons at Smokies Stadium has been postponed due to rain. The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon, with the first game scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

Fans with ticket's for tonight's scheduled contest may redeem their tickets at the Smokies Ticket Office for any remaining 2015 Smokies home game. The club's full rainout policy can be found online at www.smokiesbaseball.com.

Tonight's matchup will be made up as part of a Tuesday twinbill, with both games scheduled to last seven innings in regulation. The first game is slated for a 5:00 p.m. first pitch, with the second contest taking place approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and tickets for that evening's regularly scheduled contest will be good for both matchups.

Every dog has his day at Smokies Stadium on Tuesdays with Nexgard-Heartguard Tail Waggin' Tuesday. Man's best friends are welcome to join their owners and sit out on the berm for the ballgame.

Tennessee has not yet announced their start for the first game of the doubleheader, while Birmingham is slated to give the nod with RHP Frankie Montas (0-1, 2.87). RHP Ryan Williams (1-0, 5.06) is set to toe the rubber for the Smokies in Tuesday's nightcap, while the Barons are anticipated to send RHP Tony Bucciferro (0-3, 6.99) to the hill.
