MANCHESTER, NH – Center Michael Cammalleri had two goals and goaltender Mathieu Garon had 33 saves for the Manchester Monarchs, who beat the Norfolk Admirals, 4-1, at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Wednesday night. The Monarchs tied a team record with their eighth straight win and improved to 15-1-0-0 (30 points) on the season. The Monarchs also extended their lead in the American Hockey League's Atlantic Division to a season-best eight points over the Hartford Wolf Pack (10-4-1-1, 22 points), who lost to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 3-1, at the Hartford Civic Center on Wednesday night.

Right wing Brad Smyth and left wing Dustin Brown assisted on Cammalleri's 14th goal of the season.

The Monarchs added to their lead with two quick strikes in the third period. Right wing Tom Kostopoulos pounced on a rebound and stuffed it past Munro at 3:22 for his eighth goal of the season, and Cammalleri took Smyth's centering pass and fired it home at 6:19 to make it 3-0 Monarchs. Left wing Noah Clarke and center Yanick Lehoux shared assists on the Kostopoulos goal. Defenseman Troy Milam also notched an assist on Cammalleri's team-leading 15th goal of the season and second of the night.

Norfolk broke up Garon's shutout bid with a power play goal from left wing Quintin Laing at 10:11 of the period, but the Monarchs answered the Laing tally with a goal from right wing Dan Welch, who collected his second goal of the season at 12:35.
