Hlinka's game-winner makes it two wins in a row for Bears

The BEARS won Wednesday night 2-1 over Springfield at GIANT Center; making it two wins in a row. Marty Hlinka won the game with his first goal of the season late in the third period, while Chris Bala scored midway through the third period to tie the game.

HERSHEY outshot the Falcons 16-3 in the second period, but still trailed 1-0 heading into the third. With the win, the BEARS won when trailing after two for the second consecutive game. Dennis Bonvie and Greg Barber picked up assists on the game-winner, while Dean Arsene and Johnny Boychuk had helpers on Bala's game-tying strike. Tom Lawson won the game, his second straight victory.

The BEARS are off Thursday, with a game in Philadelphia looming Friday night at Wachovia Center. The Phantoms bring a 15-game winning streak into the game Friday, one off an American Hockey League record. Face-off in south Philly is set for 7:05 p.m.
