Monarchs Swap Defensemen With Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled defenseman Drew Bagnall from the ECHL's Reading Royals and assigned defenseman Patrik Hersley to Reading, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Bagnall, 24, has appeared in 10 games with the Royals this season and collected three points (1-2=3) and 32 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Oakbank, Manitoba, played four years of college hockey at St. Lawrence University prior to signing with the Kings on August 23, 2007. Bagnall collected 72 points (19-53=72) and 235 penalty minutes in 140 career collegiate games with the Saints from 2003-07.
Hersley, 21, has played in 11 games with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound native of Malmo, Sweden, has two penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of minus-2 while in Manchester. Hersley collected two points (1-1=2) and 10 penalty minutes in 28 games last season with Malmo of the Swedish Elite League.
The Monarchs host the Portland Pirates on Friday, November 16 at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
