Monarchs Sign Hudson

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed forward Alex Hudson to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Hudson, 24, has appeared in 10 games for the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors this season tallying four points (1-34) and eight penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 212-pound native of Corona, California recorded 10 points (4-610) and 21 penalty minutes in 16 games with the University of Nebraska-Omaha at the start of the 2011-12 season. Hudson appeared in 130 games in four seasons (2008-2012) with the University of Nebraska-Omaha and registered 37 goals and 45 assists for 82 points (37-4582) and 141 penalty minutes. He will wear number 12 for the Monarchs.

The Monarchs will face-off against the Binghamton Senators at the Verizon Wireless Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3.
