The Vancouver Canucks have recalled right wing BYRON BITZ from the Chicago Wolves.

BITZ has posted 3 points (G, 2A) and nine penalty minutes in 10 games with the Wolves this season in his first game action since March 27, 2010. He missed the entire 2010-11 campaign due to injuries.

The 27-year-old forward split the 2009-10 campaign between the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers, posting 5 goals, 11 points, and 33 penalty minutes in 52 contests.

Overall, the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native has tallied 9 goals, 9 assists, 18 points, and 51 penalty minutes in 87 career NHL contests with Boston and Florida spanning two seasons (2008-10).

BITZ has also notched 17 goals, 40 points, and 145 penalty minutes in 108 career American Hockey League tilts with the Wolves and the Providence Bruins (2007-09).
