LAST WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS
At Lowell (2/2): Left wing Noah Clarke scored with 35 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Manchester Monarchs over the Lowell Devils 4-3 in overtime in front of 2,926 fans at the Tsongas Arena on Friday night for their eighth win in a row. Right wing Tim Jackman tallied twice and rookie forward Paul Crosty scored his first of the season in regulation for the Monarchs. Lowell evened the game with goals from left wing Jason Ryznar, right wing David Clarkson and center Chris Minard. Monarchs goaltender Jason LaBarbera stopped 35 shots for the win. Devils netminder Jordan Parise took the loss with 23 saves. Manchester went 1-for-2 on the power play. Lowell was 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
Vs. Providence (2/3): Center Gabe Gauthier chipped in the game-winner to lead the Manchester Monarchs to their ninth straight victory, a 3-1 win over the Providence Bruins in front of 8,517 fans at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Saturday night. Left wing Petr Kanko scored his first goal since November and left wing Matt Moulson collected the empty net insurance goal with three seconds left to play. Monarchs goaltender Jason LaBarbera earned his 27th win with 24 saves. Bruins netminder Jordan Sigalet took the loss stopping 33 shots. Manchester went 0-for-1 on the power play. Providence was 0-for-2 with the man advantage.
MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES
The Monarchs (31-12-6-1) are in first place in the Atlantic Division with 69 points and third overall in the AHL behind Norfolk (35-10-4-1, 75 points) and Hershey (30-9-5-5, 70 points).
Manchester has a home record of 17-5-4-0 and a road record of 14-7-2-1.
The Monarchs power play is ranked fourth in the AHL after 50 games with a 19.7-percent man advantage scoring percentage. Manchester has scored 51 goals on 259 opportunities so far this season with the man advantage.
The Monarchs power play on the road is ranked first in the AHL with a 22.5-percent scoring rate. Manchester has scored 29 goals on 129 opportunities in 24 games with the man advantage outside the Verizon Wireless Arena.
Manchester's penalty kill is ranked 19th in the league after letting in 49 goals on 268 situations when the team has been down a man for an 81.7-percentage.
The Monarchs are on a nine game win streak right now, the longest of the season. Five of those wins came on the road giving Manchester their longest road winning streak of the season.

Left wing Noah Clarke leads the Monarchs in scoring with 39 points (19-20=39).
Clarke's 19 goals lead the team.
Clarke leads the Monarchs all-time in goals (80), points (181) and power play goals (26) and he is ranked second in assists with 101.
Center Patrick O'Sullivan (17-17=34) is in second place in scoring for the Monarchs with 34 points. He is currently on recall with the Los Angeles Kings.
Left wing Matt Moulson (13-17=30) is tied for third on the Monarchs roster with 30 points with defenseman T.J. Kemp.
Kemp leads Manchester's blueliners with 30 points (3-27=30).
Kemp is ranked fourth among AHL defensemen with 30 points.
Rookie Kemp also leads the Monarchs team in assists with 27.
Right wing John Zeiler (11-14=25) is in fifth place on the Monarchs squad.
Zeiler leads the Monarchs in the plus/minus category with a plus-15 in 48 games.
Center Marty Murray is ranked fifth on the Monarchs with 23 points (5-18=23).
Forward/defenseman Paul Crosty scored his first AHL goal in Friday night's 4-3 overtime win against the Devils.
Defenseman Doug Nolan is the lone Monarchs players without a goal this season.
Goaltender Jason LaBarbera is first in the league among minutes played with 2,543 minutes in 43 games.
LaBarbera is also ranked first in the AHL in the saves category with 1,293 on the season.
LaBarbera is ranked second in the league with 27 wins and a save-percentage of .932. He also ranks third among goaltenders with a goals-against-average of 2.22.
LaBarbera was named Rbk X-Pulse/AHL Goaltender of the Month for January. In 10 appearances last month, LaBarbera was 8-2-0 with a 1.88 goals-against-average, a .945 save-percentage and one shutout.
LaBarbera has played in 228 AHL games with the Monarchs and the Hartford Wolf Pack. He has a record of 119-69-20, a goals-against-average of 2.15 and a save-percentage of .927 in 12,724 minutes of work between the pipes and 5,787 saves in the AHL.
LaBarbera collected his fifth shutout of the season on Wednesday, January 17 versus the Pirates stopping all 32 shots he faced. His 26 AHL career shutouts with the Monarchs and Wolf Pack lead all active goaltenders and ranks seventh all time in the AHL.

1-19-07 - Right wing Ryan Murphy is month-to-month with an upper body injury.
1-24-07 - Defenseman Doug Nolan is day-to-day with an upper body injury.

The 2006-07 Kids Club Party will be at the SEE Science Center in the Manchester Millyard on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 from 6-7:30 p.m. The party includes Monarchs players, Max, SEE Science Center exhibits and more!
Goaltender Barry Brust and forward/defenseman Paul Crosty will be assisting in the Jr. Monarchs Squirt youth hockey practice on Thursday, February 8 from 5:20-6:40 p.m. at Tri-Town Ice Arena.

Mr. Potato Head Night - The first 5,000 fans to the Monarchs game on Saturday, February 10 against the Worcester Sharks will receive the Monarchs version of Mr. Potato Head, complete with a Monarchs jersey and mullet wig!
