Brookbank Recalled by Nashville

Nashville, Tenn.- Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Sheldon Brookbank from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Brookbank leads AHL defensemen in scoring with 36 points (9g-27a) in 51 games this season and has posted 110 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 200-pound blueliner, who was a member of the Canadian team at the 2007 AHL All-Star Game last week, led the Admirals in penalty minutes (232) and ranked second among team backliners in scoring (9g-26a-35pts) in 2005-06. The Lanigan, Sask. native was originally signed as a free agent by Nashville on August 4, 2005.

The Admirals are back in action this weekend when they will make team history by playing three straight games at the Bradley Center on three straight days. On Friday they will take on the San Antonio Rampage at 7:00 pm and the first 5,000 fans will receive a black t-shirt from Jockey. The two teams will return for a 1:30 pm matinee on Saturday and the first 5,000 fans will take home a bobblehead of goaltender Pekka Rinne.
