Monarchs Recall Hayward

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, on Friday recalled right wing Leon Hayward from their ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals. Hayward, 24, has appeared in 16 games for the Monarchs this season, recording three points (1-2=3) and 11 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound native of Seattle, Washington, has also appeared in 20 games for the Royals this season, recording 10 points (7-3=10) and 14 penalty minutes. Hayward agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Monarchs in August of 2003.

The Monarchs host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, January 30. They then head to the Worcester Centrum Centre to face the Worcester IceCats on Saturday, January 31 at 7:05 p.m.
