Cincinnati Mighty Ducks announce roster moves

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim recalled left wing Casey Hankinson from the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks and assigned left wing Stanislav Chistov to the American Hockey League club on Friday.

Hankinson, 27, had 10 goals and 18 assists with 49 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating in 45 games with Cincinnati this season. A native of Edina, Minnesota, the 6-foot-1, 187-pounder currently leads Cincinnati and ranks 12th in the AHL with 142 shots on net.

Hankinson has appeared in 14 career NHL games while a member of the Chicago Blackhawks organization, recording one assist with nine penalty minutes. He was signed by Anaheim as a free agent July 25, 2003, and was originally selected by Chicago in the eighth round (201st overall) in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

Chistov, 20, had one goal and 16 assists with 18 penalty minutes in 46 games with Anaheim this season. The native of Chelyabinsk, Russia had 12 goals and 18 assists with 54 penalty minutes in 79 games with Anaheim last season.

Chistov, a first-round pick by Anaheim in 2001, scored a goal and had three assists in his NHL debut October 10, 2002 at St. Louis. The four points were the most by a player appearing in his first NHL game since 1977. The 5-foot-9, 193-pounder also became the youngest player in NHL history to record at least four points in his NHL debut at the age of 19.
