Head-To-Head - The Monarchs and Thunder will face-off for the third time this season, with the Thunder taking both games earlier in the season. The last time the North Division rivals played in the Glens Falls Civic Center, the Monarchs earned their lone 2015-16 Kelly Cup Playoff win.

Where We Stand - The Monarchs enter tonight's game one point behind division leaders Adirondack and Reading, earning three points through their first three games. With the Royals idle, the Monarchs could find themselves at the top of the division with a win tonight.

Make it Three - Daniel Ciampini and Matt Leitner are pacing the Monarchs in scoring, and have been heavily involved over the first three games the Monarchs have played. Ciampini, a 2015 Hobey Baker Award Finalist has a team-leading two goals, and his three assists are good for a first-place tie on the club with Leitner and David Kolomatis.

Diamond Returns - Joey Diamond made his season debut last night against the Royals, and made an immediate impact on the game with two assists. Diamond finished the 2015-16 campaign tied for second in points on the Monarchs, chipping in 20 goals and adding 29 assists.

Killing It - The Monarchs and Thunder have both been stingy when on the penalty kill, as both teams have yet to concede a goal while a man down. Of the 25 teams who have played at least one game this season, Manchester and Adirondack are two-of-eight teams without a short-handed blemish.

Between the Pipes - Colin Stevens earned the first victory of the season for the Monarchs last night. With that effort, Stevens lowered his GAA to 1.93 and raised his save percentage to 0.940%. Entering tonight, Stevens' GAA is good for ninth-best in the ECHL.
