Mohr Named to U-17 Camp

EDMONTON, ALTA. - Edmonton Oil Kings prospect Kobe Mohr has been named to the Canadian under-17 development camp, Hockey Canada announced Tuesday.

Mohr, 16, was Edmonton's first round pick, 20th overall, in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. The Lloydminster native had one assist in three games with the Oil Kings as an underage call-up in 2014-15 and posted 13 goals and 27 points in 25 games for the Lloydminster Bobcats Midget AAA squad.

Mohr was one of 111 players invited to the camp, taking place at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport's Canada Olympic Park in Calgary from July 29 - Aug. 4. From the development camp, 66 players will be selected to respresent Canada on one of three national teams - Black, Red, White - at the 2015 World U-17 Hockey Challenge Oct. 30 - Nov. 7.

Oil Kings video coach Jory Stuparyk and team doctor Edward Berdusco have also been named to the Canadian staffs for the World U-17 Hockey Challenge.
