MLB All-Star Phil Hughes to Rehab in Trenton this Wednesday at Noon

(Trenton, NJ)- The Thunder and New York Yankees announced today that RHP Phil Hughes is scheduled to make a rehab appearance on Wednesday, June 29 at 12:05 PM at Waterfront Park as the Thunder face the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays).

Hughes owns a career Major League record of 31-19 and a 4.46 ERA in five seasons with the Yankees. He was an All-Star in 2010, going 18-8 with a 4.19 ERA. The 2004 first round draft pick in played for the Thunder in 2006 where he put together a 10-3 record and a franchise record 2.25 ERA. He also holds the Thunder franchise record for strikeouts in a playoff game with 13. Hughes rehabbed with Trenton in 2007, throwing seven innings and allowing just one earned run while striking out 11.

Hughes has been on the New York Yankees disabled list since April 15 because of inflammation in his right shoulder.
