Minor League Baseball Record For Double A And Below

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, have become the first team in the history of Minor League Baseball at the Double-A level or below to draw 400,000 fans for fourteen consecutive seasons. With today's attendance of 5,743, the total for the 2008 season stands at 404,676 with one game remaining.

"We are fortunate to have such great support from the people of New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania and Yankee fans from all over the region," said Thunder Vice President of Marketing Eric Lipsman. "It is a privilege to be able entertain so many people here at the stadium."

The Thunder's per game attendance average this season is 5,781, good for third highest in the Eastern League.
