Minnesota Assigns Gustafsson and Haula to Iowa

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher announced on Friday the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Johan Gustafsson (pronounced JOE-hahn GUHS-tahf-suhn) and center Erik Haula (pronounced HOW-la) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Gustafsson, 21 (2/28/92), was recalled Thursday for the sixth time this season and is 8-9-2 with a 2.86 goals-against average (GAA), a .908 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout in 21 games with Iowa this season. He has not appeared in an NHL game.

Haula, 22 (3/23/91), has recorded four points (2-24) and a plus-5 rating in 25 games with Minnesota this season. The 5-foot-11, 192-pound native of Pori, Finland, recorded an assist in his NHL debut on Nov. 29 vs. Colorado and tallied his first career NHL goal against Dallas on Jan. 18. He has collected 17 points (9-817) in 24 games with Iowa this season.

Iowa hosts the Chicago Wolves on Friday, February 7th at 7:05 p.m. Friday's game is a $2 Beer Night, presented by 100.3 The Bus. Every Friday, fans (21 and over) may purchase $2, ten-ounce domestic drafts through the first period of play. The game also includes the Equipment Drive for Courage League Sports, presented by Scheels. The Iowa Wild will be collecting new or gently used sports equipment to benefit Courage League Sports, an adaptive sports/recreation facility serving kids and young adults.
