Jets Recall Paul Postma from IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled defenceman Paul Postma from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League. They have also activated Postma off the injured reserve list.

Postma, 24, played in four games with the IceCaps since being sent to the AHL club for a conditioning stint on Jan. 29/14. In that time, the right-handed defenceman recorded six points (1G, 5A) and four penalty minutes. He returns to the Jets where he has played in eight games so far this season before suffering a blood clot on Oct. 27/13 The Red Deer, AB native has played in 46 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg for nine career points (4G, 5A) and 12 career penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 205th overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft.
