
Mighty Ducks Bryzgalov Suspended

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cincinnati Mighty Ducks goaltender Ilja Bryzgalov has been suspended for three games, without pay, as a result of receiving a match penalty for his deliberate attempt to injure Grand Rapids Griffins center Sean Avery in a November 17 game at the Cincinnati Gardens.
Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, will miss Cincinnati's games November 20 at Grand Rapids, November 22 at Lowell and November 23 at Worcester.
Bryzgalov has appeared in 11 games with Cincinnati this season, going 2-5-2 with a 3.04 goals-against average, .901 save percentage and one shutout.
