The 'Cats take on the 6-5-2-3 Pirates on Friday night at Worcester's Centrum Centre. The first 1,000 kids, 12 and under, will receive an IceCats backpack. The IceCats earned a 3-2 win in the first meeting of the season between the two teams back on October 19th. The Pirates come into the game having lost their last game 2-1 against Springfield. They also have a losing record on the road, 2-3-1-1. Left winger Colin Forbes ranks 14th in the AHL with 18 points: (7/11/18). Netminder Maxime Ouellet checks-in with a 2.31 GAA, ranking him ninth among AHL goaltenders. Ouelett ranks third with a .935 save percentage through six games. He has a record of 3-3. Sebastien Charpentier, the Pirates other goalie, ranks fifth with a .926 save percentage. He has record of 2-3-2. Defenseman Jason Doig is pacing the club with 64 penalty minutes. The Pirates are in fourth place in the AHL's North Division.

The IceCats host the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks on Saturday night at the Centrum Centre. The Ducks are 5-6-2-2, with 14 points through 15 games this season. They too, have a losing road record. The team is 1-3-1 away from the Queen City. Rookie Tony Martensson ranks among the league's leading rookie scorers with 11 points. He has registered five goals and six assists in 14 games: 14(5/6/11). Three of his goals have come on the power play. Mike Commodore ranks fifth among AHL defensemen with 62 penalty minutes....The Ducks have scored six shorthanded goals....Before traveling to Worcester, the Ducks are in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Wednesday and Lowell on Friday.

* Justin Papineau (12/6/18), John Pohl (6/11/17) and Sergei Varlamov (5/12/17) all rank in the Top 20 in AHL scoring. Papineau is pacing the league with 12 goals.
* Papineau has an eight-game points streak, recording eight goals and six assists, 14 points, in that span. The third-year centerman has also scored a goal in five straight games and in eight of his last 10.
* Worcester is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.
* Defenseman Matt Walker checks-in with a 'plus 14' rating, good for second in the AHL.
* Worcester ranks fifth overall on the power play. The team has clicked on 20 of 110 advantages or 18.2%.
* The IceCats lead the AHL with 106 assists and 168 overall scoring points.

NOTES: Monday afternoon at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, the IceCats were defeated by the Lock Monsters 5-3, with the fifth goal coming via the empty net. Jason Dawe, Justin Papineau and Jeff Panzer tallied for Worcester. John Pohl picked-up an assist on Jeff Panzer's goal. For Pohl, it was his ninth assist and 15th point overall in 12 games.
5-3 LOSS - Wed., Nov. 13 vs. Saint John Flames - Worcester's Centrum Centre

NOTES: The IceCats fell to the Saint John Flames 5-3 Wednesday night at Worcester's Centrum Centre. The loss was just the IceCats second loss in seven games on home ice. Forward Marc Brown had two goals for Worcester.
4-1 WIN - Fri., Nov. 15 @ St. John's Maple Leafs - St. John's, Newfoundland

NOTES: Friday night at Mile One Stadium in St. John's, Newfoundland, the Worcester IceCats defeated the Maple Leafs for the second time this season. The final from 'The Rock' was 4-1. Jason Dawe recorded one goal and one assist and Blake Evans potted the game-winner. Curtis Sanford returned to action after missing almost a month with an injury. He stopped 27 of 28 shots en-route to his first win of the season.
4-3 WIN - Sat., Nov. 16 vs. St. John's Maple Leafs - St. John's, Newfoundland

NOTES: The IceCats continued their winning ways against the Maple Leafs, defeating them 4-3 on Saturday night. Justin Papineau registered two goals and Sergei Varlamov notched one goal and one assist for Worcester. Curtis Sanford made 38 saves for his second win of the season.
