Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Montreal Canadiens, a parent club of the Hamilton Bulldogs, have recalled goaltender Eric Fichaud from Hamilton.

Fichaud, who was acquired as a free agent by the Canadiens on September 10, 2002, has played in four games with the Bulldogs this season, earning a record of two wins and a tie, a goals against average of 1.72 and .937 save percentage.

Fichaud, a 27-year old native of Anjue, Quebec, has been recalled due to Jose Theodore's injury. Theodore suffered a left hip flexor injury during the Canadiens' 5-4 win against Pittsburgh at the Bell Centre last night.

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action takes place Wednesday night, as they host the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:00 p.m. For tickets call the Bulldogs office at (905) 529-8500, visit the Copps Coliseum Box Office, or call Ticketmaster at (905) 527-7666.
