This Friday is Chick-Fil-A Night, featuring the ever-popular Chick-Fil-A Cows on Ice contest during the first intermission. Chick-Fil-A plush cows will be given out to the first 5,000 fans in attendance and everyone will receive a free coupon for a Chick-Fil-A item. Be sure to also check out Chick-Fil-A's two tables on the concourse, complete with games and face painting.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
Philadelphia's own Gwen from ABC's hit TV show The Bachelor will help the Phantoms celebrate Singles Night on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Gwen will attend the Match.com mixer in Bullies prior to the game and drop the opening puck before the Phantoms battle the Rochester Americans. OVER $1,400 RAISED AT PHANTOMS BACHELOR AUCTION
The Phantoms Wives Charity Foundation, a division of the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation, raised $1,470 at the third annual player bachelor auction on Friday, Nov. 15. Fans placed bids at the Phantoms Wives table for the chance to go on a date with one of six single Phantoms players, as well as Mix 95.7 afternoon disc jockey Rick Stacy. Defenseman Wade Skolney received the highest bid at $425.
The Phantoms Wives Charity Foundation is dedicating all fund-raising efforts this season to the National Adoption Center, a private, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia that has found families for more than 19,000 children across the United States. The Phantoms Wives' next fund-raising event is Friday, Dec. 20, when the team will wear special Holiday and auction them off following the match.
JIM VANDERMEER ON "RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" THIS WEEK
Defenseman Jim Vandermeer will be this week's guest on "Rumble with the Phantoms," which airs every Wednesday from 4:30-5:00 p.m. on WNJC (1360 AM). Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every week.
COMCAST SPORTSNET CLASSICS FEATURING THE PHANTOMS
Comcast SportsNet Classics, the monthly show that reaches into the archives of Philadelphia sports history, is showcasing the 1997-98 Calder Cup-winning Phantoms in November. Entitled "Dreams of Hockey Glory," the hour-long show premiered on Nov. 12, and will re-air on Nov. 20 at 8:00 p.m., Nov. 24 at 7:00 p.m. and Nov. 28 at 8:00 p.m. "Dreams of Hockey Glory" includes interviews with John Stevens, Neil Little, Frank Bialowas and Peter White, as well as highlights of the exciting run to the Calder Cup title.
NEXT CN8 TELECAST ON FRIDAY
CN8, the Comcast Network, is airing a total of 11 Phantoms games throughout the 2002-03 season, with the next telecast set for this Friday, Nov. 22 against the Milwaukee Admirals. The CN8 broadcast team once again features Tim Saunders, Orest Kindrachuk and Mick Moninghoff.
PHANTOMS HELPING PHILADELPHIA FIREFIGHTERS' UNION
Members of the Phantoms will be helping the Philadelphia Firefighters' Union Local 22 prepare Thanksgiving baskets for widows of firefighters on fixed incomes this Monday, Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. The Local 22 Union Hall is located at 5th & Willow Streets. Friends and family from Local 22 will also be attending the Phantoms' game on Nov. 29 vs. Hershey.
LIVE BAND IN BULLIES EVERY FRIDAY
Stick around after every Friday home game to hear the Delaware Valley's best and brightest bands perform live inside Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant. The Patty Balbo Duo will be the featured entertainment this Friday, Nov. 22.
FOOSBALL TOURNAMENT UNDER WAY
Budweiser will be sponsoring a foosball tournament in Bullies before every Friday night home game this season. Two-person teams will compete from 6:00-7:00 p.m., with each winning team receiving two tickets to the Phantoms' final regular-season Friday game on April 4, so they can compete in the final round that night. The champions will win a free foosball table, as well as a Phantoms Fantasy Pack that includes game tickets, dinner in Bullies and the opportunity to watch pre-game warm-ups from the bench.
NEW GAMES IN BULLIES
In addition to the great food, drinks and entertainment at Bullies, several new games have been installed for everyone to enjoy. STUDENT TICKETS JUST $8 ON WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS
