Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have received veteran right wing Dennis Bonvie from Ottawa (NHL). Bonvie cleared waivers on Monday, enabling Ottawa to assign him to their top minor league affiliate in Binghamton.

Bonvie appeared in 12 contests with Ottawa this season with no points and 29 PIM. Known for his physical play, Bonvie set the AHL single season penalty minute mark during the 1996-97 campaign with 522 while skating with the Hamilton Bulldogs. He will be in uniform Wednesday night when the Senators face Norfolk in a 7:15 p.m. faceoff.

The Senators also announced that left wing Justin Plamondon has been released from his professional try-out agreement. Plamondon had appeared in seven of Binghamton's first 15 games with no points and 11 PIM.

The Senators are on the road for three of their next four contests beginning Wednesday in Norfolk (7:15). The Sens and Admirals also meet on Friday (7:30) in Norfolk before Binghamton returns home Saturday night to welcome the Hamilton Bulldogs (7:05). The Sens then close out the pre- Thanksgiving portion of their schedule Sunday with their first ever vis it to Giant Center in Hershey as they face the Bears (6:00).

Tickets for Saturday's game, as well as all remaining regular season home games, may be purchased at the Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, the Center Ice Team Shop at Metrocenter, or by calling the Sens Hotline at 722-SENS.
