The Anaheim Mighty Ducks announced they have assigned defencemen Brett Skinner to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
Skinner, 22, was acquired by the Mighty Ducks in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks on March 9, 2006. In return, the Canucks received defenceman Keith Carney and the rights to defenceman Juha Alen. The Brandon, MB native is in his first season as a pro. Previous to the trade, Skinner had played in 50 games so far this year with the Manitoba Moose. He had scored three goals and 18 assists for 21 points and 31 penalty minutes.
