Hershey Bears News Release

The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club, backed by the goaltending of Dany Sabourin, picked up all three wins this past weekend. In Friday's 6-3 win over the Adirondack Phantoms, defenseman Tomas Kundratek had a career-best four points (1G, 3A) to pace the offense, Kyle Greentree scored two power-play goals, and the team was successful on 10 out of 11 penalty kills. Kundratek was a star of the show again on Saturday in a game against the Albany Devils, as he scored the opening goal as well as the game-tying tally with four minutes remaining. Cody Eakin and Boyd Kane notched shootout goals, while Sabourin added to his 29 regulation saves with four shootout stops. The BEARS completed their perfect weekend by traveling to Albany and taking care of the Devils again in a 4-1 victory. Kane scored two goals for the BEARS, AHL leading scorer Chris Bourque picked up his 80th point with an assist on the insurance goal, and Sabourin, expected to back-up until Braden Holtby was recalled, finished one shy of perfect with 24 stops. The BEARS will welcome the St. John's IceCaps to GIANT Center for their first-ever visit this Wednesday, and will then host the Charlotte Checkers this weekend.
