Fri., March 16, Albany 2 at Binghamton 4

A second period rally by the Devils was trumped by three third-period goals by the Senators. The end result was a 4-2 Devils loss at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Tim Sestito and Eric Gelinas both scored for the Devils and Peter Harrold registered a pair of assists. In goal, Jeff Frazee made 32 stops. For Binghamton, Andre Petersson netted a pair of goals, including the game-winner, and Craig Schira and David Dziurzynski also scored.

Sat., March 17, Albany 2 at Hershey 3 (Shootout)

The Devils lost, 3-2, in a shootout against the Bears at Giant Center. Trailing 1-0 after the first, Matt Anderson scored at 9:10 of the second and Brad Mills added a shorthanded goal at 13:57. In the third with four minutes remaining, Hershey's Tomas Kundratek tied the game with his second tally of the night. Hershey won the shootout session, 2-1. In goal, Keith Kinkaid tied a season-high with 37 saves.

Sun., March 18, Albany 1 vs. Hershey 4

Vladimir Zharkov scored, but the Devils fell to the Bears, 4-1, at the Times Union Center. Trailing 2-0 in the first after Hershey goals by Patrick McNeill at 11:42 and Maxime Lacroix at 16:31, Zharkov went zone-to-zone and scored on a wrist shot at 17:41. The Bears' Boyd Kane then scored on the power play at 19:06 of the second and into an empty net at 19:49 of the third. Jeff Frazee made 19 saves.

Notables

- The Devils are fourth in the Northeast Division and tied for 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 27-26-6-5 record (65 pts.). They are 14-9-4-3 at the Times Union Center and 13-17-2-2 on the road.

- Brad Mills set a Devils franchise record when he netted his fifth career shorthanded goal. The record-breaking tally came during the second period of a 3-2 shootout loss at Hershey on Mar. 17.

- Eric Gelinas' goal Friday at Binghamton was his 14th of the season, keeping pace as one of highest-scoring defenseman in the AHL. The Devils rookie is tied with Abbotsford's Clay Wilson and Rochester's T. J. Brennan for the league lead for goals by a defenseman.

- Three of the Devils top five scorers are rookies. Joe Whitney leads the team with 36 points (13g-23a) and Eric Gelinas is fourth with 27 points (14g-13a). Behind them, Mike Sislo is fifth with 26 points (8g-18a).
