
Worcester Sharks to Host 3rd Annual Mshca High-School All-Star Game

WORCESTER, Mass. - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced today that the Worcester Sharks will be hosting the 3rd annual Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association High School All-Star Game, on Sunday, April 1 at 12:00PM at the DCU Center. The All-Star Game will feature the state's top 46 high school seniors from MIAA schools, as selected by the MSHCA.
The All-Star Game will consist of two teams split into Team South and Team North. Rosters for both teams are below. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the Starting Lineup for both teams by texting the last name of a player to 74499. The starting lineups will be announced live from the DCU Center on FOX 25 News in part with the High School Fridays with Kristine Leahy. Voting will conclude on March 25th at 11:59PM.
"This game is a great opportunity for Massachusetts high school hockey players to showcase their talents in front of scouts and fans alike," stated Mudd. "The Sharks are proud to host the MSHCA All-Star Game by bringing the best high school hockey talent in one place for a terrific exhibition. "
Last year, St. John's Prep player and MSHCA All-Star Colin Blackwell was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 2011 NHL Draft.
Admission to the MSHCA High School All-Star Game will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors will open at 11AM. A ticket to the game will also allow fans to attend the Sharks' match versus the Springfield Falcons that afternoon at 3:00PM.
"The Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association is extremely excited about the upcoming game and grateful to the Worcester Sharks for making this an annual occurrence," said MSHCA Board of Director member David Spinale. "The DCU Center is centrally located and a great place to showcase some of the great young hockey talent in Massachusetts."
