Mets' Ruben Tejada Joins Bisons on MLB Injury Rehabilitation

The New York Mets today announced that INF RUBEN TEJADA has joined the Buffalo Bisons on an MLB injury rehabilitation assignment. He will be available for tonight's game against the Mud Hens in Toledo (7:00 p.m.).

Tejada, 22, was placed on the Mets disabled list on May 7 with a right quad strain. He played in 27 games with New York this season and hit .305 (32-105) with 10 doubles, eight RBI and 14 runs scored.

Tejada played in 119 combined games with the Bisons in 2010 and 2011. He hit .280 (61-218) with a home run and 16RBI in 65 games during the 2010 season. Last year, Tejada hit .246 (51-207) with three home runs and 21RBI in 54 games with Buffalo.
