MEN AT WORK : The Red Wings won 3 of 4 games vs. Columbus, their 2nd win of a series longer than 2 games...they also took 3 of 4 vs. Louisville May 15-18.

CLOSE CALL : The Red Wings outscored 7-2 in the series.

HOME COOKIN' : The Red Wings have won 10 of their last 14 games at Frontier Field...they improved to 19-15 at Frontier Field overall, including a 15-11 mark as the home team.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR : The Red Wings posted their 4th shutout.

GOOSE EGGS GALORE : Liam Hendriks threw his first shutout in his pro career, albeit a 7-inning game...he tossed his 4th complete game in his pro career, his first since May 24, 2011 with Double-A New Britain vs. Binghamton (Mets)...Hendriks's complete game tonight is the 2nd by a Red Wings pitcher this season, joining P.J. Walters' 7-inning complete-game effort in the first game of a May 5 doubleheader vs. Buffalo.

DAMAGE CONTROL : Liam Hendriks notched his 4th win to tie Scott Diamond and Jeff Manship for the team led...Hendriks leads current Red Wings in victories because Diamond and Manship are with the Twins.

DAMAGE CONTROL : Red Wings' pitchers have allowed 4 runs or less in 18 of their last 22 games.

EXTRAORDINARY: The Red Wings have recorded at least one extra-base hit in 31 consecutive games... Rochester last recorded at least one extra-base hit in at least 31 straight games July 31-September 5, 2009, when they had a 38-game streak.

KEEPIN' IT IN THE PARK : The Red Wings' pitching staff has allowed only 2 home runs in its last 10 games...the Wings' pitchers have gone 46 consecutive innings without giving up a long ball.
