
Mets Recall RHP Jeremy Hefner from Bisons, Option Ing Jordany

The New York Mets today announced that they have recalled RHP JEREMY HEFNER from the Buffalo Bisons roster. The Mets also announced that INF JORDANY VALDESPIN has been optioned to the Herd.
Valdespin began the season in Buffalo and played 17 games for the Herd. He hit .276 (21-76) with two home runs, seven RBI and 13 runs scored for the Bisons. In 15 games with the Mets, Valdespin hit .100 (2-20) with a home run and three RBI in his first action at the major league level.
This is the second time Hefner has been promoted to the Mets this year. He tossed three innings of shutout relief in a one-game stint on April 23. Hefner was 3-2 with a 2.72ERA in seven starts with the Bisons in 2012 (46.1IP, 37H, 8BB, 25K).
