Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
Justin Germano has been terrific this season, but struggled through the first inning on Saturday, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits. Norfolk held Pawtucket at bay, 8-4. The first place team dropped their third in a row. Chorye Spoon, Clay Mortensen, and Tony Pena worked in relief. Pena allowed 2 runs, the first given up by the bullpen since May 12.
Scott Podsednik had a pair of RBI singles and Pedro Ciriaco knocked in a Pawtucket run. Kevin Youkilis continued his rehab assignment, going 1-4.
The series continues on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. Brandon Duckworth (5-0) pitches for the PawSox.
