
Meneghin Named to WHL Central Division All-Star Team

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club is proud to announce that 2004-born goaltender Harrison Meneghin has been named to the Western Hockey League Central Division Second All-Star Team.
Meneghin, 18, was originally undrafted in the WHL Prospects Draft and signed by the Hurricanes in 2021. The South Surrey, BC, product appeared in 36 games in his rookie season with the 'Canes posting a 19-12-2-2 record with a 2.83 goals against average and a .908 save percentage with one shutout. Meneghin finished tied for third in victories among Central Division netminders.
The first year goaltender was named the WHL Goaltender of the Month in the month of November when he posted a record 7-0-0-1 record collecting a 1.96 GAA and a .936 SV%. He was also named the Goaltender of the Week in November. Meneghin was named the Hurricanes recipient of the Carl Trentini Memorial Award for Rookie of the Year.
The Hurricanes open the 2023 WHL Playoffs presented by Stringam Law on Friday when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:00pm in Game 1 of their first-round best-of-seven series. The 'Canes will host the Warriors in Game 3 and 4 on Tuesday, April 4th and Wednesday, April 5th at the ENMAX Centre.
