
Meneghin, Chadwick Named Central Division All-Stars

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday that goaltender Harrison Meneghin and defenceman Noah Chadwick have been named as 2023-2024 Western Hockey League Central Division All-Stars.
Meneghin, 19, was named a Central Division first team all-star. The South Surrey, BC, product appeared in a career-high 53 regular season games posting a 27-20-5-0 record with a 2.59 goals against average (GAA) and a .919 save percentage (SV%) with three shutouts. He finished the season fifth in the WHL in victories (27), fourth in shutouts (3), sixth in GAA (2.59) and second in SV% (.919). Meneghin also finished third in games played (53) and fourth minutes played (3,040). He was named the Hurricanes 2023-2024 Most Valuable Player and Three Star Award winner.
The 6'3, 170-pound netminder has appeared in 90 career games with the Hurricanes having posted a record of 46-32-7-2 with a 2.72 GAA and a .913 SV%. Meneghin sits ninth all-time in team history with his 46 regular season victories. It marks the second consecutive season he has been named a Central Division All-Star after being named a to the second all-star team in 2022-2023.
Chadwick, 18, was named a Central Division second team all-star. The Saskatoon, SK, product appeared in 66 regular season games collecting 56 points (12g-44a) along with a plus-13 rating and 24 penalty minutes. Chadwick finished the season fifth in Hurricanes scoring and second in assists - first in power play assists (16). He finished tenth in WHL points by a defenceman (56) - fourth among Eastern Conference rearguards. In addition, he finished the 2023-2024 season with three overtime winning goals, most in the WHL. Chadwick was named the 2023-2024 Hurricanes Top Defenceman and the recipient of the 'Canes Scholastic Player of the Year Award.
The 6'4, 200-pound defenceman has skated in 146 regular season games with the Hurricanes totaling 79 career points (19g-60a) along with 44 penalty minutes and a plus-19 rating. Chadwick - who was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixth-round (185th) overall in the 2023 National Hockey League Entry Draft signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Leafs in December. He became the first 'Canes defenceman since Alex Cotton and Calen Addison in 2019-2020 to surpass the 50-point plateau in a season.
The Hurricanes open the 2024 WHL Playoffs presented by Stringam Law on Friday, March 29th when they visit the Swift Current Broncos in the first of their best-of-seven first-round playoff series. The 'Canes will host the Broncos in Games 3 & 4 on Tuesday, April 2nd and Wednesday, April 3rd at the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm.
