McPherson Home Run Lifts Sacramento to Fifth Win in Row

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Dallas McPherson hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the eighth inning to propel Sacramento to a 7-5 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Monday night at Raley Field. McPherson's seventh home run of the season flew over the visitor's bullpen and onto the right field lawn to give Sacramento a 6-5 lead.

Catcher Josh Donaldson followed one out later with a solo home run to left field, his 10th of the season and the River Cats' fourth of the night.

Tacoma took a 5-3 lead with two runs in the top of the eighth inning. Sacramento has now won five games in a row overall and 10 of its last 11 games at home.
