McLean and Ellsworth Help Lead Canada Red to First Win at U17 World Hockey Challenge

The 2024 U17 World Hockey Challenge got underway in Sarnia ON., Sunday as Team Canada Red defeated Finland 3-1 with the help of Alex McLean and Colin Ellsworth.
Storm forward Alex McLean opened the scoring for Canada Red in the early minutes of the second period. Colin Ellsworth stood tall in goal making 14 saves and allowing one goal to lift Canada over Finland.
Teams will play two preliminary-round games before the medal round, which concludes on November 9th with the medal games, as well as the fifth-place game. McLean and Ellsworth are back in action Monday, November 4th at 7:30pm as they take on the United States.
