Following yesterday's road trip finale loss in Fayetteville, the Mudcats return home tonight to take on the Lynchburg Hillcats in game one of a four game series and game one of an eight game home stand at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC. The Mudcats enter tonight's series at 2-2 versus the Hillcats this season having split a four game set in Lynchburg just last week (5/13-5/16) during Carolina's most recent road trip. Tonight's game is the 5th of eight first half games between the two teams and the 5th of 17 overall this season... Tonight's game will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium in Zebulon and will air live on WDWG, 98.5 FM and online at carolinamudcats.com via TuneIn Radio. The game will also stream live in full high-definition video on MiLB.tv.

TONIGHT: Following last night's road trip finale loss in Fayetteville, the Mudcats return home tonight to take on the Lynchburg Hillcats in game one of a four game series and game one of an eight game home stand at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC. The Mudcats enter tonight's series at 2-2 versus the Hillcats this season having split a four game set in Lynchburg just last week (5/13-5/16) in Carolina's most recent road trip. ICYMI: The Mudcats were held to just one hit and combined to strike out 16 times in an 11-0 loss to the Woodpeckers on Sunday afternoon in Fayetteville at Segra Stadium. Fayetteville starter Yohan Ramirez turned in a dominating 11 strikeout performance as his club salvaged a win in the series finale. Ramirez carved his way through the Carolina lineup while totaling 11 strikeouts against just one walk and one hit over six and 2/3 innings. Reliever Hunter Martin pitched the final two and 1/3 innings for Fayetteville and held Carolina without a hit while totaling five strikeouts. Martin and Rogers combined for 16 strikeouts versus the Carolina offense; one short of match a season high for strikeouts by an opponent.
ABOUT THE LAST ONE: The Mudcats were held to just one hit in a game for the first time this season in yesterday's 11-0 shutout loss in Fayetteville. It was also Carolina's most lopsided loss as they were outscored by 11 runs and out-hit 14-1 on Sunday. Despite the loss, the Mudcats won the series two games to one and finished the road trip at 4-3 after going 2-2 in Lynchburg and 2-1 in Fayetteville.
