Notes

Sports Radio 810 - The Mavericks game on Friday night against the Quad City Mallards will be aired live on Sports Radio 810 WHB with play-by-play announcer Danny Clinkscale. The Mavericks have eight more games on Sports Radio 810 this season including Friday night's game.

Home Sweet Home - After a tough start to their home portion of the season in which the Mavericks went 2-7-1 in their first 10 games, Missouri has now won seven straight games at Independence Events Center. Missouri has outscored their opponent 36-22 in the win streak and the Mavericks have scored six or more goals in four of the seven games.

Coming home - Missouri is one game into a season-long seven game home stand. The Mavericks will not head out on the road until February 9 in Rapid City. Missouri is currently 9-7-1 at home and has won seven straight games at Independence Events Center.

Nine of 11 - Along with the home win streak, the Mavericks have won nine of their last 11 games. In that stretch, the Mavs have outscored their opponents 45-29 and have won five of those games by three goals or more.

Top 10 - Mavericks' forward Sebastien Thinel is tied for fifth in the CHL with 47 points this season. Thinel has 13 goals and 34 assists in 37 games and his 34 assists are second in the league only behind Evansville's Todd Robinson. Goaltender Charlie Effinger ranks fourth in the CHL with a .921 save percentage and his 16 wins rank third in the league. Effinger's two shutout victories are one behind the league leader, Fort Wayne's Nick Boucher.

Schafer streaking - Forward Patrick Schafer has 11 points in nine games since being traded to the Mavericks. Schafer is currently on a six-game point streak with six goals and two assists. He has five goals in his past three games for Missouri. Prior to coming to Missouri, the Hilliard, Ohio native had five points (2-35) in 19 games with the Arizona Sundogs. Since coming to Missouri he has a point in all but one of the nine games he has played with the Mavericks.

Heavy workload - With the trade of backup Gerry Festa and Levente Szuper going to Russia, the Mavericks have been relying on Charlie Effinger to handle all of the goaltending duties for a majority of the Mavs' hot streak. Effinger has started all seven of the last games for the Mavericks, going 5-2-0, including a shutout of Bloomington on January 14.

Making them count - Mavericks' Captain Sebastien Thinel has eight game winning assists this season.

Three or less - One of the Mavericks' keys to victory this season has been holding their opponent to three goals or less. Missouri is 17-1-2 for a .900 win percentage when the team allows three or fewer goals.

Tickets for all regular season games are on sale via Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.Ticketmaster.com . Call the Mavericks' office at (816) 252-7825 for more information or visit www.MissouriMavericks.com.
