Notes: The Gems return to action and conclude their road stand with a weeknight matchup with the Evansville IceMen for Dayton's fourth trip to the brand new Ford Center in Evansville. Dayton skates into the matchup winless this season against the IceMen while going 0-4-2 in their six prior meetings this season. The last time Dayton visited Evansville, the IceMen would win the game 6-5 on an overtime goal with just seconds remaining in the extra frame. The IceMen continue to lead the CHL in special teams play, boasting the second best powerplay (22.1%) and league leading penalty kill (86.1%).

The Gems picked up their franchise-first win against Rapid City last Friday night, shutting them out 3-0 before splitting the two game weekend series with a tough 6-0 loss on Saturday night. Rapid City marks their first trip to Ohio since last season's Turner Conference playoffs opening round, in which the Rush eliminated the Gems in three games. Dayton skates into Friday night 1-2-1 with the Rush so far this season. Promotion: Rally Towel giveaway (first 500 fans).
